The Amazon jungle is the world's largest tropical rainforest. It is the lifeblood of the world’s largest ecosystem that spans about two-fifths of the South American continent. More than half of all the plant species on the planet are found in the Amazon jungle. It is known as the lungs of the planet due to the amount of oxygen it releases into the atmosphere.

To date, at least 40,000 plant species, 427 mammals (e.g., jaguar, anteater, and giant otter), 1,300 birds (e.g., harpy eagle and toucan), 378 reptiles (e.g., anaconda), more than 400 amphibians (e.g., dart poison frog), and around 3,000 freshwater fishes, including the piranha, have been found in the Amazon.

The pink Mimosa silk tree has been used in Chinese remedies for nearly 2000 years as a natural calming herb. It is known as the "tree of happiness" or the "happiness herb."

There is scientific research-based support for the use of the Mimosa tree to relieve worry, stress, and sleep issues.

In fact, a pharmacoepidemiologic study in Taiwan in 2002 found that the Mimosa tree was the third most commonly prescribed Chinese herbal remedy for treating sleep problems.

This honey can be used like ordinary honey but is best taken as a teaspoon of this honey mixed into a glass of cool or warm (not hot) water and drunk three times a day on an empty stomach.

Delicious honey

This Amazon Jungle honey is delicious, it is also really good for your health. When it arrived, it was part runny, part crystallised so I warmed it up in a hot bowl of water, and the consistency was just what I like. I have it with my porridge and also with lukewarm water in the morning. I would recommend everyone to give it a try!

Genuine and Natural

I have been using the 15+ ACTIVE Raw Organic Amazon Jungle Honey From Brazil (227g) from The Latin Honey Shop for about five years now, and I’m really impressed with the quality. The honey has a deep, rich and natural flavour, is no doubt completely natural, and I find it especially beneficial when I have a cough or cold—it provides soothing relief and I recover quickly.

I also notice it gives me a gentle energy boost without feeling overly sweet or processed like other honeys. It’s clearly high-quality and raw, which makes a difference in both taste and effect. Also, the owner is very approachable and helpful, offering guidance before and after the purchase whenever I had questions which I appreciate.

Finally, this is a reliable honey product which I trust and enjoy using regularly, and no doubt will continue to do so.

Alternative to Manuka

I’ve used for my 4 year old daughter - dissolved a teaspoon in water and she’s drank that down easy. Personally I have felt it improve congestion and cough symptoms to an extent several times when given 2-3 times per day. She will have this and finds it tastier/ milder than Manuka.

Absolutely delicious!

I have a variety of honey from Latin honey shop and they are all delicious with a particular taste. I keep this one for the evening in a glass of warm water
